Nhanga/Gota/Ixhiba

Our Patron First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa actively engages teenagers through her educational Nhanga/Gota/Ixhiba Moral Restoration Program, aimed at revitalizing Zimbabwe’s cultural norms and values. This initiative includes separate sessions for girls and boys, where they receive traditional grooming tailored to their gender roles and responsibilities.

Expanding beyond schools, the program reaches tertiary institutions, ensuring that young adults are instilled with a sense of cultural identity and social responsibility.

Traditional leaders and their spouses play a crucial role in advancing the program within their communities.

During these sessions led by the First Lady, children often express concerns about their parents’ behavior, recognizing its influence on youth antisocial behavior. Through open dialogue and traditional teachings, Dr. Mnangagwa addresses these concerns, fostering harmony and cultural preservation within Zimbabwean society.
